Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors

Because the internet doesn't have all the answers

We're Glad You're Here

The New Traditions service meets on Sunday beginning at 9:05 am in the Wesley Family Life Center. Contemporary Christian music is played by the Forsyth UMC praise band. Powerpoint presentations accompany the worship service. This is the place on Sunday mornings for practical, uplifting messages, warm relationships, and great music in a casual atmosphere. If this is your style, you'll find the connection with Jesus that will enrich your week and your life.

At 11 AM each Sunday we gather in the sanctuary to worship together at our Traditional Service. These thoughtfully designed services blend traditional hymn music, prayers and sermon. There is a special time for children. Your open heart will be filled with the power of God's love.

Child Care * Children are welcome in our worship services. There is also childcare available all morning in the nursery, located in the Wesley Life Center.

What to wear * We are a varied group, and will be wearing anything from shorts or jeans and a T-shirt to "Sunday best", with a good number of people in the middle, wearing slacks and a nice shirt. Whoever you are and whatever you wear, you will be welcome.

  • Coffee is available during the early service
  • There is no public recognition of visitors
  • You are welcome to try any and all of our Sunday School Classes

Communion is usually offered on the first Sunday of the month at both services. Our communion table is open to everyone—baptized or not, confessed or not, sure or not.

As our guest, we want you to feel free to let the offering basket pass on by. If you desire to give, please know that Forsyth UMC is devoted to being careful stewards of the resources within our care. Members and Regular attendees are encouraged to be faithful in tithing.
