Youth Classes

Even though youth are often concerned about themselves and the changes they are experiencing, they also have a great capacity to be concerned about others. They worry about the conditions of society and are naturally idealistic. They want to belong to a worthy cause. When they know they belong to a group that has a real and meaningful purpose, they are more likely to be creative, cooperative, and self-sacrificing. The Forsyth UMC Youth Ministry is devoted to nurturing all of our middle and high school students in their growing faith. Sunday School is just one of the many opportunities for our youth to come together and share God's love.

Youth are full of energy and enthusiasm and are hungry for knowledge; they are eager to learn the gospel, and they want it straight and undiluted. We recognize that teaching this age group sometimes takes a different approach than that of teaching children or adults. Our goal is to reach the youth of our church and community in a fun way that they will best understand. We want to help educate them in their faith as well as to prepare them for mature Christian adulthood in the church and in the world.

Sunday School

Growth is a normal part of life. This is true for our spiritual life as well. The standard by which we measure that growth is the life of Christ. Christians must continually be seeking to become more like Him. Spiritual growth results from discipleship, and one of the best discipleship tools is Sunday School. An effective Sunday School class provides a comfortable setting that is conductive to learning, where a well-prepared teacher presents a biblically based lesson in understandable, age-appropriate terms. At Forsyth United Methodist Church we believe that Bible study and Christian fellowship can help us to develop spiritually to become true Disciples at every stage of life.
